Check out the second edition of Raising Financially Independent Children with updates tables and added contain on adult children

We are announcing the second edition of Raising Financially Independent Children with an expanded subtitle “A Story-Based Approach to Educating Your Child from Two Through Independence”. Over the past 2½ years we have become aware that many adult children need financial support well after leaving their childhood home, and many parents need to weigh the implications of continuing to provide support while planning for their own retirement. We have also updated tables. We feel strongly that the greatest impact to future financial well-being is education. This book strives to provide a path for you as a parent to educate your child with basic financial skills and empowering beliefs while young, and then to collaborate with your child as they move into middle or high school, and beyond.

Raising Financially Independent Children is now available on Amazon, as an e-book or print edition.

Financial Independence for Children, Teens, and Adults is a 6-book series written to empower financial literacy and facilitate financial solvency among youth and adults alike. Each book is focused on a specific population with stories and examples tailored for connection to the audience, and ease in understanding and application.

Raising Financially Independent Children is written for parents, including those who would like to change their own relationship with money, or who need a refresher on the basics of credit and simple account management. Chapters are organized by the child’s age so that financial education occurs gradually and is age appropriate, with a focus on incorporating lessons into daily life.

Start your road to financial independence at any age! It is our belief that financial education can start when children are young and continue throughout life. Our other books include teaching your teen about money (Financially Independent Teens), what adults need to know to become financially competent and confident (FinancialIndependence Essentials), how women can overcome common barriers to financial independence (Financial Essentials for Women by Women & Budgeting for Women by Women) and blending financial priorities and spending habits as a couple (Financial Essentials for Couples). You will become educated in creating financial plans, budgeting, managing credit, setting up accounts, planning for retirement, and investing.
